News and Updates

Our 2016-2017 season is about to start up with our first rehearsal in early September.  Please look at the list of concerts and plan now to be a part of these afternoons and evenings. We look forward to seeing you bringing you performances that inspire. We hope to see you and your family at a performance this season!

In the past 8 years PSW has:

  • Performed Major Works with Premier guest artists, including seminars or master-classes about the works performed
  • Performed publicly before thousands of people both indoor and out.

  • Established an education division that includes a comprehensive mentoring and continuing music education program for young people each year, enhancing the music education received in their individual schools

  • Organized Education Side-By-Side rehearsals and concerts that allow the youth to perform with adults in concerts dedicated to the pursuit of excellence.

  • Held master classes by our Professional Community Musicians at area schools to expose our youth to the various musical styles and performance practices

  • Commissioned a new work and a musical arrangement, and have publicly performed them in debut concerts.
